Great Scott!
Today is the day Marty McFly and Doc Brown visited the future in Back to the Future Part II. Be on the look out for every news website to run an article on what the film predicted correctly about the year 2015. You could also look out for a DeLorean as well, I guess.
I love the original Back to the Future film. It's got a fun and creative script, some great acting, iconic quotes (My personal favourite: "Make like a tree...and get outta here!"), and time-travel goodness. I have to admit though, having become a massive Whovian in the time since I first watched this has made me see some of the flaws in its time travel logic, but who cares? It's an entertaining movie, and that's all that matters.
I must also confess that the first film is the only one in the trilogy I've seen in full. No joke. However, I suspect that with all the hype around Back to the Future this week, I may put watching the other two much higher on my list of movies to watch.
So I leave you with this. A video of Tom Wilson (aka Biff) singing about all the unwanted questions that are thrown at him about the movies. Spoiler alert: It's hilarious.
Special thanks to James from The Weekly Planet podcast for sneaking this at the end of their episode this week. Without that, I may never have found this.
Now go drink your Pepsi Perfects, read that special edition of USA Today, and see Jaws 19 in 3D.
