Remember that 30 Films, 30 Degrees thing I did last year?
Well I’m doin’ it again this year, but with 40 films instead of 30. That’s right! 10 more films!
Here’s a brief reminder of how things go down: I have to watch 40 films I’ve never seen before the end of the year, but there was to be one actor that carries over between each film. It can either be one of the top-billed actors, a supporting actor or even just an extra (though that doesn’t happen often). I was initially inspired to take on this challenge last year after I saw Demi Adejuyigbe doing the same thing but with 100 films. One hundred.
I’m currently 4 films in. Here’s what I have so far…
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
Air Force One (Harrison Ford)
Fargo (William H. Macy)
The Big Lebowski (Steve Buscemi)
I’m playing things a bit more loosey-goosey this time in terms of limitations. Last year, I didn’t let myself watch previously unseen movies that weren’t part of my challenge watchlist, and I’m allowing myself a bit more freedom in that area. Also, same as last year, I don’t count movies I see in the theater.
You can follow my progress, as always, on Letterboxd.
I’m hoping I can do little progress reports here on the blog for every 10 films I watch. We’ll see how things go.
