The Five Bits (Feb. 28 - Mar. 5): Sabretooth, The Tenth Doctor Returns, Legends of Tomorrow, Agents of SHIELD, and Ghostbusters

Is that my longest title yet? Cause, wow.

1.  Sabretooth Back for Wolverine 3?

Look, X-Men Origins: Wolverine wasn't a good movie, but there were some good parts, like Liev Schreiber's Sabretooth. So this is good news.

Schreiber revealed that he and Hugh Jackman have talked about bringing Sabretooth back for the third Wolverine solo movie and Jackman's last bow as the character.

Obviously his casting hasn't been confirmed yet, but seeing a Wolverine and Sabretooth rematch sounds uber-exciting.

2.  The Tenth Doctor and Donna Return...in Audio Form

A few months ago, it was revealed that David Tennant and Catherine Tate were returning to play the Tenth Doctor and Donna Noble in three Doctor Who Big Finish audio dramas. This week, we got a trailer for those stories. Is it awesome hearing these two again? Oh yes! The bit at the end about the TARDIS is just golden, by the way.

I haven't listened to too many of the Doctor Who audios, but I'm definitely going to make an effort to listen to these. The Tenth Doctor Adventures set is available in the summer.

3.  What's Next for Legends of Tomorrow?

This rumour has been floating around for a while, but Joseph David-Jones (Connor Hawke in "Star City 2046") has given it some traction.

Apparently, the plan for future seasons of Legends of Tomorrow is to shuffle the cast members around every year, with different characters joining and leaving the Waverider crew with each season. Jones revealed he might be a possibility, Matt Ryan's John Constantine was rumoured to be a part of Season 2 last month, and fans are talking about Vixen hopping on too.

I have mixed feelings about this. I think it's a super fun idea to mix and match characters every year, but I always believed Legends was a good concept for a one season event series. I mean, how many threats to time and civilization do our heroes have to thwart before it gets repetitive? That being said, if the writers can come up with a really good path to take the show in future seasons and can find the right cast members, I'll be on board (pun intended).

4.  Agents of SHIELD Renewed!

Here's some fantastic news!

Marvel broke the news this past week, even though news like this isn't confirmed until Upfronts in May. But it seems like ABC has a lot of confidence in the show, and they may want it to headline their slate of Marvel shows, which also includes Agent Carter (hopefully that's renewed too) and the upcoming SHIELD spin-off Marvel's Most Wanted and the Damage Control sitcom.

With all that, plus the Netflix shows, the TV side of the MCU is becoming almost as powerful as the movie side.

5.  Alright, I'll Talk About the Ghostbusters Trailer...

The trailer for the all-female Ghostbusters reboot dropped this week and it's taken the internet by storm, but not in a good way.

OK look, it doesn't seem like Sony has really learned their lesson about reboots even after their Spider-Man trainwreck. Besides the girl power, it doesn't look like anything fresh is being done with this reboot, and it seems like this movie exists just to make some money and start up some shared Ghostbusters universe.

BUT, it's unfair to declare this movie "terrible" yet. The four Ghostbusters seem great (especially Kate McKinnon, but Leslie Jones yells a lot), and the visual effects are awesome.

I'm not a big fan of Ghostbusters, so I'm not personally invested in the franchise like others are. So consider me on the fence about this movie. That is all.
