Are You Ready For the Summer?

I know that’s a cheesy title, but I wanted to do something other than “The _____ Update.” Just stay with me here.

So, I’m done school until September. Hurrah! I know that it hasn’t really seemed like it, given how since I’ve finished I’ve published only two reviews, but… I can explain…

I was busy.

SYKE. Almost got you there, didn’t I? No, I wasn’t busy.

The past school year took a lot out of me, in good ways and not as good ways. One pf the not as good things was a lot of big, impending deadlines. Nothing out of the ordinary for school, right? Totes. But when it’s film school, two short films are in post-production and you have 4 responsibilities spread across both?

S T R E S S

So, when all was said and done, I wanted to give myself some time to breathe and to not get anxious over certain deadlines,including blog ones. That means, of course, I’m a bit behind on my Doctor Who and Agents of SHIELD reviews. I’m hoping that, before next week, I can get two double-reviews up, one for each show. The Doctor Who one will cover “Thin Ice” and “Knock Knock,” and the SHIELD one will cover “Farewell, Cruel World” and “The Return.”

In other words, this post should mark the end of my mini-sabbatical. I really want this coming summer to be a productive one for the blog. I’d like to start writing more editorial-style pieces, film analyses, etc. A few ideas a re already in my mental pipeline.

So, my apologies about the radio silence, but I’m back now, baby!
