I finished season 2 yesterday, so more episodes will be reviewed in each post. Yay!
"Regrets Only" (Season 2, Episode 6)
- Loved the opening fight scene.
- I'm not sure if I've stressed this enough, but Daredevil's new mask is way cooler than the old one. And I wasn't a "hater" of the old one.
- My goodness. Elektra and Matt are awesome together. This episode was lighter on the butt-whooping, but Matt and Elektra snooping around at the party was so entertaining it made up for it.
- Matt taking down the guys in the bathroom was too cool.
- The scenes with Punisher were very intriguing, as Karen saw a different side of him. The family man side.
- The "not guilty" moment. Dude.
"Semper Fidelis" (Season 2, Episode 7)
- Matt and Elektra. Still great.
- But I can't be the only one who was livid with Elektra when she butted in on Frank's trial.
- The trial scenes in this episode and the next make me wish we got some in Season 1.
- You know a show has great characters when you feel a bit of heartbreak when there's some heated drama between them.
- Is that a bottomless pit like the one from Gravity Falls? Naaaah, I'm just messing with any fellow Falls fans out there.
"Guilty as Sin" (Season 2, Episode 8)
- Oh hai, Stick.
- It's not often we see a car chase and a bow and arrow battle happening at the same time.
- Clancy Brown? I love that guy!
- Initially, I thought Stick's mentioning of those guys finding immortality was a hint towards the Kree blood from Agents of SHIELD. Later on, of course, this is proven to not be the case.
- Punisher getting all riled up like that was pretty insane. This trial just keeps on getting worse for the Nelson & Murdock crew.
- Aw, more heartbreak.
- Oh hai,...FISK?!
"Seven Minutes in Heaven" (Season 2, Episode 9)
- Wow. Fisk got an actually pretty meaty role rather than a brief cameo like I was expecting.
- Vincent D'onofrio is awesome as Fisk. Don't let anyone tell you different.
- Also, cool seeing Punisher and Kingpin together. Cool cool.
- In the last post, I said Frank's interrogation was Daredevil's most brutal scene yet. Yeah...scratch that. Frank killing all those prisoners is. End of story.
- Last season, Ellison was pretty unlikable. This season, I really like him. Huh.
- Detective Karen! Back on the case!
- BUT WHAT'S IN HER FILE?!
My last "Thoughts" post is coming soon!
